Sheet Pan Chicken Meal for Baby
I love the ease of sheet pan meals for quick and easy weeknight dinners 🍽. Very little prep, hands-off cooking and minimal cleanup time. PERFECTION❤️!
All of that is true for my baby 👶 sheet pan meal, which is perfect whether your little one is eating purees, if you are doing baby-led weaning or if your baby is in the finger food stage.
Just three ingredients make this chicken baby food from scratch that is beyond quick and easy to make!
Make up a big batch, as it freezes really well, too!

Ingredients
- Chicken: Use a small boneless and skinless chicken breast.
- Butternut Squash: roughly peeled and chopped, or frozen squash works as well
- Cauliflower

How to make it
- Preheat the oven and line a baking sheet with parchment paper, tin foil or a silicone mat.
- Place the cauliflower and butternut squash on the baking sheet. Place the chicken on a piece of tin foil and wrap up like a present, so no moisture can escape.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping vegetables halfway through baking time.
- The meal will be done with they can be pricked by a fork and the chicken is cooked all the way through.
FOR A BABY FOOD PUREE
- Let the food cool slightly and chop chicken.
- Transfer all of the ingredients into a blender or food processor and puree for 1-2 minutes, adding water, broth, formula or breast milk in 1/4 cup increments if needed.
FOR BABY-LED WEANING
- Let cool, slice chicken into long 2-3″ strips and serve to baby.

HOW TO SERVE IT TO BABY
BABY FOOD PUREE
This recipe makes enough for 20 ounces of baby food, or 8 2.5ounce servings. Let the puree cool to room temperature before giving to baby in their favorite bowl.
BABY-LED WEANING OR FINGER FOODS
Slice the chicken into strips. Place a strip of chicken, a piece of cauliflower and 3 slices of squash onto on a plate.
HOW TO STORE
Both the finger food and the puree can be stored in a baby food container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
The puree can also be frozen for up to 4 months and thawed in the fridge to serve.
